AIP Bone broth gravy
I love me some gravy. It screams comfort food! This recipe is quick and really easy! I used duck fat as my fat base and if you haven’t tried it yet, you MUST. It gives such a rich flavor profile. The amount of seasoning you will need will honestly depend on the beginning flavor of your bone broth. When I make my bone broth, I typically use chicken and pork bones so my base is usually already pretty rich.
Enjoy y’all!

Quick, easy and delicious gravy. There's not much more here to say, this takes just a few minutes to put together and is a great base for even creamy gravy's.
- 4 tbsp Duck fat or fat of choice
- 4 tbsp Cassava flour
- 3 cups bone broth I used a little over 2 cups of bone broth and about 1/2 cup of water
- salt, to taste I used about 1/2 tsp
-
Melt fat over medium heat, add flour and whisk consistently for about 3 minutes, or until it starts to brown. Be careful to not burn.
-
Slowly add broth, while continuously stirring with a whisk. Let simmer while stirring for about 3 minutes, it will thicken over time. I wasn't ready to serve mine immediately so, I just kept it on my simmer burner on low until I was ready to use and stirred it every now and again.
